Here's Ritchie and Candice, with Soldier of Fortune, which you can find on their live album, Past Times With Good Company:




This is one of my absolute favorite Deep Purple tunes. The original appeared on their 1974 album Stormbringer. David Coverdale wrote the piece with Ritchie, and, of course, handles the vocals on the tune.

Not that anyone on my flist likes renaissance faires or that sort of fantasy-type stuff, or folksy music with a medieval flare or really damn good guitarists*...

Of course, I'm hoping at least one of you who might be a member of any of those target audiences has yet to hear the music of Blackmore's Night.

Doubtful, but I can hope.
