Sep. 15th, 2005 08:45 amWhen Deb was pregnant with Justin - before we really knew it - we had absolutely no money, no medical insurance, and were not sure what we were going to do.
We were going to go to a Planned Parenthood clinic to get a free pregnancy test - not to schedule, or even really discuss, abortions or other solutions, just to find out that first step.
We canceled the appointment because of a bunch of idiot protesters, one of whom attempted to save fetal lives with an automatic weapon and an adult body count. We had people that were going to provide security for us, but we decided to go to a paid clinic - if we weren't on welfare at that point, we were soon afterward; and if we weren't at that point, my parents paid for the appointment.
Anyone who thinks violence, threats, bullets, and bombs are proper behavior for enforcing a religion based on love, free will, and being nonjudgmental is some combination of pure stupid and pure evil. Hell, anyone who thinks they need to enforce anything about the religion obviously skipped the book and just watched the movie.
Some good will come from those protesters outside a Philadelphia Planned Parenthood clinic, though... check out this, which I discovered courtesy of
