Brandon - aka Mr. Destructo - aka Mister Monster - broke another one of my old gifts.

A while ago, Justin was holding him and he pulled down and shattered my obsidian chimes.

A few minutes ago, he pulled down the corner shelves and broke the oil lamp into many pieces.

Both the lamp and the chimes came from the same store in Peddlar's Village.

Sigh.

Ouch-hate it when something i treasure breaks no matter what the cause.
But obsidian is a volcanic glass, razor razor razor sharp, used today for microsurgery utilizing tiny flakes of it.
You should very carefully examine the entire area and beyond, where it fell for even the smallest shards.

Many of my beloved fairy things (porcelain frig magnets, candle holder, figures)have broken or chipped wings thanks to my princess with horns. No matter how high up I put them she manages to get ahold of them. (it's amazing what a 3yr old will do in order to get at the things they want)

I think the problem is one of diminishing standards over time - with Justin, we cleared everything away, and overly baby-proofed everything; with Rachel, not quite so much, although she was mostly interested in doing daredevil acts than in mass-destruction, and we did put cabinet locks on everything; with Brandon, we have plugs in the outlets and we keep him out from under the sink & trash, and that's about it.

My son never bothered ANYTHING...never got into ANYTHING.
The little one started getting into whatever she could from the moment she started crawling. It's funny how children who came from the same womb can be so opposite of each other in certain aspects.
