Fed bitter slices of distrust, portions of life spoiled sour.
Torn by illusion, tempests raging on a sea of distraught humanity.
Scenes of the Mysteries flash in shots of desire, raging within the mind,
Leaving a soul open... lost... confused.
Words fail to rise to the lips of the Damned, and so they stand Condemned,
Distasteful silence falls upon them, awaiting Judgment by the Right.
What dreams can steal their pleas and leave empty shells,
Nightmares of kinder worlds that stay their voice.
Fear the wiseman, for he knows too much,
Fear the pauper, for he is made of sand
That will crumble in your fingertips.
Fear the poet, for he twists your mind with lies,
Crush them all, for soon will come
The time when ignorance reigns over the blind.
A mind rages with fear of the unknown,
So afraid to dream, what horrors have you seen?
Fear controls emotions, dream only sanctioned thoughts,
Sparks of creative life put out with watery rhetoric,
See what they let you see, feel what they let you feel,
Fall so quickly into slavery.
A heart bursts with trust of the leaders,
So near to life, what has forced you to die?
Empathy is stripped bare, you do not seem to care,
They have created their perfect citizen,
See what they let you see, feel what they let you fell,
Fall so quickly into slavery.
Alone I walk this dream filled world,
Come take my hand, I will let you share the dream.
Glistening spires rise high in mists of the faerie,
Fantasy is within reach of earthbound man.
Rise far above, in aether of spiritfolk, dreams of Heavens can be had.
Look to earth in fear, far below your heightened sight.
See nightmares that travel paths of darkest death,
See the spectres of humanity...
Fear the wiseman, for he knows too much,
Fear the pauper, for he is made of sand
That will crumble in your fingertips.
Fear the poet, for he twists your mind with lies,
Fear the dreamer, forming castles made of sand
That crumble in the morning tides.
