Indecision
by Everett A Warren
May 11, 1988

Look into my eyes child, tell me what you see:
Drifting clouds, a moonless sky, darkness.
Behold the truth son, it lies within your mind,
Hidden behind thoughts of shadows.

Unlocking secrets from the void,
Neverending mysteries rest under layers of lies.
Delving deep within the soul,
Wrenching something out from underneath to get something new.

Tranquility...

A breath upon the wind
And it's gone
Away into the air
Lost forever
and ever
and ever
and ever and...

One step over the edge and you find
You've gone too far, it's too late.
Desperation forces your hand
The choice is wrong, it should not be.

Peace is a repose child, treasure it while you can:
The cooling breeze, as the sun ebbs, winter.
You are right my son, trust your judgement
When you can trust no one else.

Searching deep within your heart,
Your soul screams out in agony, it can take no more.
Cannot stand the introspection,
Afraid of what lurks beneath but needing to know what lies within.

One step over the edge and you find
You've gone too far, it's too late.
Desperation forces your hand
The choice is wrong, it can not be.

What has been has gone, tomorrows are yet to come
What is done is done, in a time long ago.

One step over the edge and you find
You've gone too far, it's too late.
Indecision forces your hand
The choice was wrong, it should not be.
