Anuna - Dúlamán

I first heard of Anuna from Erika (who you'll hear a bit later in an Autumn Tears video or two), and quickly snapped up their first two albums. Of course, most people will tend to know this vocal group through their performance in Riverdance. In fact, and I hope this proves untrue but I don't have the heart to research it, I saw one reference that referred to a name change for the band to The Riverdance Singers. Say it ain't so!

Dúlamán is probably my third favorite tune ~ unfortunately, I couldn't track down videos for Salve Rex Gloriae or The Raid.

The tune is off their 1997 album Omnis (which might have slightly better availability in the 2003 re-release, although the latter would disturb me a bit, as the order of the tunes has been changed - sacrilege! ...even if they did put Salve Rex Gloriae first... =)

Their timing (not to mention their harmony) is amazingly tight. That's what makes this... and the fact that those lightening-fast consonant blends sound impossible to the English-speaking ear. *g*

Even on something simple ~ such as the "verse" part of Salve Rex Goriae ~ the way they can articulate around the words makes it seem like you're hearing them for the first time, so even when they speak English they still do things with it that just make it amazing.
