Then replace swinub with every other one of the 493 Pokemon. Then ask questions randomly, with no forewarning.

When he asks how to spell the same pokemon after only one or two others in between, I ask him how he would spell it. "I don't know" is slowly being replaced by more and more accurate spelling.

As for the other questions, I refer him to the nearest of the two semi-retired Pokemon masters in the house. =)

That's been pretty much the one constant with all three kids. I mean, for aequitaslevitas the annoying little kid show he loved and we loathed was Barney. With Rachel, Teletubbies came along and we wished she'd watch Barney instead. With Mr. B, it was those Teletubbies-on-Acid aka Boohbahs, and if only we could get him more interested in something sensible like Teletubbies...

That's perspective for you.

But aequitaslevitas was going to grow up to be a Pokemon master, Rachel was going to catch 'em all, and Mr. B... well, he only says he's a Pokemon master once in a while. Usually, he's just a Pokemon expert... =)

It's really amazing how much they absorb - Mr Bear can rattle off all kinds of names and stuff :-) He gets to watch it every morning too (cartoon network at 8!)

LOL! Drakey does that to me too with Pokemon.

"Mommy, know what this Pokemon's name is?" And it's never what I think it should be :S I've got Pikachu down though! ;-)

I'm pretty good with the first 150 or so, the original group... plus a couple of the later ones, that my daughter introduced to me.

There's a lot more now... whimper, whimper...
