This is a beautiful tune, with some touches from the minimalist school apparent in the looping part throughout most of the piece. A year after the original release by Jon and Vangelis, this tune was covered ~ and charted ~ in a recording by Donna Summer. A decade after that, in 1992, the ensemble Moodswings, featuring Chrissie Hynde of the Pretenders, recorded the piece as Spiritual High (State of Independence) Pt. II.
