In Hot Water

So that wasn't so painful...
Turns out our pre-softener water ate the copper pipe feeding the water heater. I mildly suspect, perhaps, some improper methods of attaching aforementioned heater when it was replaced four years ago.
Keep in mind, the house itself will be six years old this Winter...
Anyway, it was fixed in short order, and we now have hot water.
Which is useful.

When the water heater went it was July... I had to take showers outside, in shorts, with the hose stretched out in the morning sun, so I could almost cope with it.
