Moments
June 20, 2005
Speaking volumes
without uttering a sound
They arrive seconds apart
staying just beyond an outspread touch
They face in different directions
feigning intense scrutiny
They might seem, to a casual observer,
to be unaware of the others presence
And then, as one,
they fly away in different directions
Alone, until they meet again
on another sweet birch branch
