The shirts and jacket arrived today and they look great. Deb is pretty sure you can see them from other planets.

Both jacket and shirts have the Green Man on the back, and the shirts also have a Green Man & full logo on the front pocket.

Great timing - I'll need them for Monday, most likely! =)

The funny thing is, I've seen the same color referred to as both yellow and lime...

Found something out about the jacket this morning:

It gets orders of magnitude brighter when you walk out in to the sunlight.

Even if the sun isn't quite out yet.

Stevie Wonder couldn't lose those! Good idea, though. The brighter the better when working anywhere people might run you over or otherwise not see you.

I'm mostly concerned with visibility within the crew: you've got one guy running a brush mower, two guys running brush trimmers, and another with a chainsaw... you don't want anyone to bump into anyone else! =)

My biggest challenge is finding stuff without reflective stripes - I'd still like to get some long sleeve shirts and some sweatshirts, but they only seem to have them with the Scotchlite stripes.

Great for the jacket - which has a prime directive of keeping me from getting run over if I step outside the truck while I'm out plowing at night - but not so useful for the rest. Road crews have to work in low and no light conditions, but landscaping is maybe a 99% daytime activity. The reflective stripes just look dull grey until you hit them with headlights.

At least I was able to get t-shirts without the reflective stuff! =)

The sun is shining here, too.

I'll be damned.

You have illuminated from coast to coast.

Heh. And that's a big deal there - the left coast has a reputation for being rain-infested. =)
