Book Fifteen
May. 5th, 2005 09:43 pmBook #15: His Dark Materials book one: The Golden Compass by Philip Pullman
I held off for the longest time on this - kept picking it up, putting it down, everytime I was picking up a gift for my eldest son. Then the Easter Bunny went and got it for Justin, finally. Justin read all three in short order, and really enjoyed them. I finally got around to them a few nights ago, and I'm now getting caught up...
The story really doesn't quite belong in the childrens section... Sure, it's got content suitable for kids, and it's about kids, but it's got more depth than most things aimed at adults these days. Very enjoyable stuff!
