Deb's up in Quincy visiting her friend Dee - she left @ 3am this morning.

We started off the day with waffles and syrup and some coffee. Brandon had three cups, but the rest of us stopped at... okay, I had one cup and so did Justin. Rachel and Mr. B don't drink coffee.

Anyway.

Mowed the lawn, string trimmed until I ran out of string. Figures, last time I ran out of the mixed fuel. Picked up the 2-cycle engine oil so that wouldn't happen, and it actually ran much better until the last of the string gave out.

Set out the bird bath.

Went on an errand, and then went to the Outback - I promised Rachel we'd go there way back when, I think in March. So we finally got there.

Got home, walked around the yard and discovered it was officially open season on blueberries. Rachel went around collecting them, then we munched them.

Brandon had three cups

haha the little caffeine fiend! My mom and stepdad let my one nephew (the one who will be 3) taste their coffee once and after that he would run around when we had coffee, spoon in hand, yelling, "Share! Share!" and attack our cups. I never realized caffeine was *that* addicting..

o0o0 fresh blueberries...

Yep, fresh blueberries every day for the next month or so. And my theory on "Pick Them And More Shalt Arrive" has proven itself true - there are tons of them, in more quantity and in more portions of the woods, than any of the four prior years.

Of course, these are all native, mostly lowbush, so we might get half a cup a day at peak, but that's more than we'd have if we let the birds and bears eat them all.
