Sekrit message for [livejournal.com profile] tewok - we wound up getting out all the wind instruments later on - not sure, but you might have been able to hear Justin play the trumpet from wherever you happened to be at the time! Actually sounded pretty good, considering he's only played it twice in the past four years or so. On the other hand, my handling of the wind instruments was only slightly less scary than if I had decided to sing. In other news, the album sounds great! We went inside and listened to it after the bugs proved to be an unappreciative audience.

I had a great time, thanks for the invitation. Sorry I missed the Time of Great Wind. I had a couple winds with me, and it sounds like my skill level with them is about equal to other folks' skill with their winds.

I wouldn't go that far. I can *almost* play pop-goes-the-weasel on the flute, but that's the closest I come to playing a tune on it. I can almost play half the notes - although half of those are in one octave, the other half jump up another!

In other words, your skill level is just a wee bit (as in accomplished vs. incompetent) better than mine!

I can play tunes on my Irish flute, but my tone leaves much to be desired.

I missed it the first time 'round, but I'm glad you like the album!

Deb asked for the brownie recipe, so it'll be coming through email in a few moments. I'm sending it that way because lj will screw with the formatting and make it difficult to read.

Ask her if I can get the recipe for that cheese-and-meat dip.

Apparently it was Chris who asked Deb for the recipe, so I forwarded it him. Deb asked me not to pass it on to her or else she'll make it, so I forwarded it to her as well. =)

My sister-in-law Annie made the cheese-and-meat dip, and that request will be passed on to her. Hopefully, we'll get that back to you posty-hasty.

I asked Deb if she wanted the recipe and she said no.

A bit later, I think as I was getting ready to leave, she said she'd changed her mind and wanted it after all. Maybe she was asking for Chris' benefit, I dunno.

As far as the c&m-dip, Deb was the dip-pusher who got me hooked on it. I was just hoping she'd be able to find some way I could keep my addiction going.
