Trip Report (short version)

I'm back from my four day, three night stay in Philadelphia - shook Ben Franklin's hand; ate at Bookbinders; toured the National Museum of Liberty; had a Ayinger Celebrator doublebock, a delicious Beneluxx^TM Napoleon burger with frietjes, and, best of all, met up with jenjiyana at Eulogy; saw a magician pull a rabbit out of, well, a number of places, watched a tanker park head-in with the help of a couple of tugs, and spent four hours of Talk Like A Pirate Day on the open sea. Okay, so it was the Delaware River, but you could tell you were on the water once or twice when a deep-drafted tugboat went by.

Also, talked with many clients and did work-type-stuff. While important and useful and all that, it just doesn't sound as fun as some of the other things.

the good thing about a pirate cruise on the delaware is that the smell probably contributes a lot to the ambience and makes you feel like you really are back in the 1700s with the unwashed masses :)
