Happy Birthday Brandon!
Sep. 11th, 2006 07:51 amMany happy returns of the day to my favorite child born in the 21st century, my favorite son born in Pennsylvania - and, what's more, out of all of my kids, my favorite one born in Lehighton!
He is now *this* many, which means he can actually say that he is two. Whether he will do so if someone asks remains to be seen. He will, more likely, say "Ah ah ah ah..." and insist he is the Count from Sesame Street, because that is the sort of thing he does, especially when numbers are involved.
They say parents shouldn't pick favorites, but out of all my sons born North of the Appalachian Trail, he is very much the favorite. Come to think of it, he's flat-out my favorite out of all my kids born North and West of the AT. Yep yep yep.

Date: 2006-09-11 01:35 pm (UTC)The Count seems to have a special place with little kids. My 3 year old nephew does Count impressions all the time. He counts everything -drives my sister batty. Um, no pun intended.

Date: 2006-09-12 12:11 pm (UTC)Look on this map and get the arrow near the top of the screen and Mountain Road along the bottom (well, as long as both are visible you should be good!)
The hospital is just to the left (W) of the top of the arrow, and the AT runs E-W along the Kittatinny Ridge, which appears on the map as the blank area with only a few N-S roads crossing between Mountain Road and 895.
Along that section is Bake Oven Knob, where we'll be doing the hawk watches in October and November.
