*Not* all wet...
Jun. 28th, 2006 10:03 pm...however, sliding down a waterfall on my ass didn't help much.
We did manage to slow several more of the spillover streamlets. Last night, the neighbor was up until 4:30am - the rain was increasing the flow and it was creeping up to his house.
Things definitely settled down, the Rachel River is running clear.
Township was by, swept up the dam that was protecting the front strip of meadow. Said a backhoe would be by later. Still hasn't shown up.
Lots of damage just north, I'm sure that's keeping them busy.

Date: 2006-06-29 01:55 pm (UTC)We weren't really hit that hard, all things considered; that doesn't help the people with six feet of water in their basements, though. I suppose if they had six feet of water on top of their house, they'd look back and laugh at this.
