I dunno, that just seemed to need an exclamation point...

Anywho, I had my liver (and pancreas, and gall bladder, and bile ducts, and right kidney) ultrasoundificated this morning. In discussion with the sonographer, which including giving her the background of why exactly we were doing this (elevated liver enzyme levels; high blood pressure and cholesterol meds,) we discussed gall bladder cancer - she knew what to look for, but didn't know much about the disease (even though the husband of a friend died of it a couple years ago - very quick, as to be expected.)

And just to set some things at ease (if they weren't already,) no tumors were seen on my gall bladder. She also mentioned that the pancreas looked good. She didn't specifically say anything about any of the other bits and pieces, so that may or may not be good. I have a nagging suspicion that if she did suspect something, she has to let the doctor do the telling; but I also think that if she saw something hideously awful-bad, she wouldn't have been able to keep it quiet. Conflicting thoughts, but hey, I'm not overly worried.

Good!

I can tell you that it is most certainly the meds. Medications alter one's body chemistry. As such, it should not be unexpected that one's body chemistry will be altered, occasionally in detrimental ways.

Hubby's being sent for one of these scans next week. A couple of the blood tests were a *touch* off last time - his doc is still trying to find a reason for his "not sleeping well and waking tired" problem. (personally I'd suggest he quit drinking coffee at 9pm at night then wondering why he can't fall asleep). She's not really worried, but thought a scan would be a good idea.

When I had my ultrasound due to pain in my lower abdomen. The ultra sound operator showed me the large black mass that turned out to be a cyst and told me it shouldn't be there. So what am I saying, i think probably if she saw something she would say something.

When your doc calls to move your appointment, which is a week away, to two or three days from now...then you worry.

Had my mammo and two days later the doctor's office called to have me come in early. I was in denial, but that's when I got the news.

You're good, baby. Enjoy it.
