Rachel tripped in fell in Justin's room. She landed with her back - just above and to the side of her left hip - on an electric lantern. The lantern - which is supposed to look like a traditional gas or candle lamp - is shattered, and she's got a patch about 4x6" with three major gashes and a lot of red/pink/black and blue!

Deb is eating her hot wings - boneless, with meltdown sauce - from Wings Express (Moody Street in Waltham, MA) that I imported down to PA. The rest of us had gourmet food (that'd be Burger King, for all you unsophisticated McDonalds types of folks) that Brandon and I went to pick up.

Brandon is walking around with a large bucket on his head - or was, now he's dumping milk on his head. He was doing that earlier with water, but it's not quite as funny with milk.

Nope. Wendy's is not gourmet food - they don't flame broil... and square burgers? Not natural, I tell you. When did you ever see a square cow? =)

BONELESS!!!!

NOT REAL WINGS!

Wings MUST have bones!
Bones I say!

That's a spicey chicken nugget!

now YOU tell ME what part of the chicken the nugget comes from.

(BTW, sorry about the misfortunes)

Real wings without bones are boneless, just as real people without brains are politicians. Okay, so it's not a good comparison...

Real wings are for people who like to pay more for less meat! Or for those who like to chew on bones. =)

A reaal gourmet would go to Old Country Buffet. Oh, wait, OCB is for gourmands, not gourmets! ...or is it the other way round?...

Humm, how big are the portions?

;P

Gourmand : Person who enjoys good food and will seek out to eat it often and/or in ample quantities

Gourmet : A connaisseur about food. Will usually not eat much but will by taste alone be able to recognise spices used and probable cooking method and maybe provenance of ingredients.

Well, those are the French definitions, I'm not sure that the US ones aren't different.
:)

No OCB here in Switzerland so I can't tell if you have it the right way round.
;P

OCB is a buffet - pretty terrible, IMO, but I only know of one other person who agrees with me. The salad bar is usually decent, but the fish are definitely frozen chunks and are similar to the bargain brands found in the supermarket.

patrixa not lgged on: Gourmand is definitely the OCB customer! One can keep going back for more indefinitely. Although ellyssisan is right re the fish and seafood, the soups (which he does not eat), stews and roasts, all potato dishes plus the tenderest flaky hot rolls are delicious and close to homemade.

French and American definitions of gourmet & gourmand are the same :}

I see it's accident day for your family
