Dad Update

They're keeping him in for the holiday weekend - probably until the chemo on Tuesday. His pancreatic enzymes aren't enzyming as much as they'd like.

I'll still probably head home tomorrow morning. I have a few odds and ends to do around the house, but I may actually have some time tonight. Of course, I'm sure we'll find out more details when we head back into Mass General in a half hour or so.

Forgot to mention - we had supper last night at Redbones in Sommerville. Thought that's where one of my old employers held a Christmas party, so I thought I'd actually been there. Unfortunately, it was in a different location, so now I have no clue where exactly that holiday party 12 years ago was held. Nearby, but not the same place.

Dan and I ate at Brothers Pizza for lunch and discussed the situation. Whatever happens, mom's going to need someone to help out with odd jobs, general upkeep, and all the other stuff my dad used to do. We're pretty sure that - no matter what - he won't be able to get back to that again. I'm glad Dan had Derek come by with the snow plow and help keep things clear - one less thing for them to worry about.

Red Bones huh? Wow, you were 2 streets over from the bday party I was at, over my inlaws! Funny, we almost walked down to Davis Sq. too. Oh well, how was the food? I'm still yet to get my tooshie in there. Is Derek THE Derek? If so, tell him hi for me. Sorry to hear things aren't going as well as originally thought, I hope things start to look up soon.
