Oct. 28th, 2005 07:09 amWe have a diagnosis - we actually had it instantly, but it took a few more tries before the proper name was realized: Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP). Justin is still at the hospital, they're keeping him on IV and for observation, but there's really nothing specific that can be done for it.
For reference purposes, his legs look like my brothers does when the gout kicks in. That, and the blotches. And his left hand is more swollen than the right, and the right ankle is more swollen than the left. And the emergency nurses kept thanking him for being so nice, saying they usually don't get nice kids in there.
Thanks for all the good thoughts, and I'm sure Justin can continue to use them! =)
