Oct. 18th, 2005 08:24 amI am now a Subaru owner. I even got to drive it last night - took Justin out for a spin. Deb drove it back from the dealer, and Rachel went with her, so Brandon's the only one that hasn't been for a ride in it yet. Somehow, I don't think he's very concerned. =)
Now we have to decide what to do with the Taurus - or, to name her properly, Bessie. One consideration is to give her to the fire department to play with. I can think of a few people who actually need a car, but we're not sure we can keep a clear conscious if we inflict her one someone as something that might be driven. That said, I suppose I need to ask my brother first, although I doubt Bessie would make it from here to Cow Hampshire. After that, if he passes, if anyone local is interested, owns a Nomex or other fireproof suit (hole in the gas tank, potential to rust off around the tank and drop it without advance notice) and doesn't mind brakes (or lack thereof) that squish more than a barrel o' cephalopods, I suppose I might be willing to sell it for a dollar - or, if I can't get the Alpine CD player out, for $150.
