1. What bill do you hate paying the most?

Bank of America. They are evil and must be stopped.

2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?

I have three kids. "When was the last time you had a romantic dinner?" is more appropriate.

3. Do you regret losing your virginity to the person you lost it to?

No.

4. If you could go back and change one thing, what would it be?

All my big mistakes happened years ago; changing them would change the existence of all of my kids, and so isn't even on the table for discussion.

5. Name of your first grade teacher?

Mrs. Anderson.

6. What do you really want to be doing right now?

Work, not w@#k.

7. What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Bunches of things. Didn't have one thing in mind the whole time.

8. How many colleges did you attend?

One.

9. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?

It was on the top of the pile in the drawer.

10. What are your thoughts on gas prices?

Someone is lining their pockets. Other places have higher prices, but much of that is keyed into taxes directly responsible for improving roads or looking into energy efficient solutions.

11. If you could move anywhere and take someone with you, where would it be?

If I could take some "one" it wouldn't happen. And this is a meme for adults? I'm sorry, but one person doesn't cut it. Wife, three kids, and a cat.

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?

Wow, I can't hear the alarm.

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?

Do people really only have one thought that they can isolate like that?

14. Do you miss being a child?

Some people still think I am one. Childlike, not childish, that's the goal.

Where is 15?

#15 eloped with #23 and they're on honeymoon in Aruba.

16. What errand/chore do you despise?

Cleaning toilets is less than fun.

17. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer?

I don't see them mutually exclusive. If, however, I didn't have to work, I would likely volunteer much more than I do.

18. Get up early or sleep in?

Sure, why not?

19. What is your favorite cartoon character?

Inked lines drawn in a somewhat iconic style on many, many cells.

20. Favorite thing to do at night with a girl/guy?

Give 'em hugs, nite-nite kisses, and tuck 'em into bed. I tend to do this with one of each most nights. The teenager is too old for such things.

21. Have you found real love yet?

Yes.

22. When did you first start feeling old?

Eh, wot's that?

24. Your favorite lunch meat?

Kobe burger with artesian cheddar and apple-wood smoked maple-dipped bacon.

25. What do you get every time you go into Wal-Mart?

Hives.

26. Beach or lake?

As if these are mutually exclusive. I prefer being out on the lake to sitting on a strip of scorching sand on the shore of the same lake. Likewise, if you intend to say "Ocean" where you ask "Beach"... I prefer to be out on the open water to sitting on a strip of scorching sand on the shore of that ocean. Give me rocks and tidal pools, though, and I'm cool.

27. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?

If it was, it wouldn't happen. I think some people don't quite understand what it means.

28. Do you own property?

By some definitions, yes.

29. Favorite guilty pleasure?

Long showers.

30. Favorite movie you wouldn't want anyone to find out about?

Find out all you want, if I like a movie, I say so.

31. What's your drink?

Green tea. Chai. Captain n' Coke.

32. Cowboys or Indians?

I have been asked which tribe I'm from on multiple occasions.

33. Cops or Robbers?

Can't have one without the other.

34. Who from high school would you like to run into?

There's a few people I'd like to hang out with.

35. What radio station is your car radio tuned to right now?

Who knows. I only listen to radio by mistake.

36. Norm or Cliff?

It's a little known fact that I absolutely hate choosing favorites. Both are great characters, I've met both of them in real life at various bars in and around the Boston area (names were different of course, but the characters were dead on - hell, the Cliff-stand-in was even a mailman), and I think the actors that portrayed them both are great comic actors.

37. Grey's or The Office?

The off switch works just fine.

38. Worst relationship mistake that you wish you could take back?

Refer to the earlier question about changing things in the past.

39. Do you like the person that sits directly across from you at work?

Define directly across. Looking out the opening of my cube wall, I see a wall. Specifically that of the men's bathroom. Next to me on one side is Ken, the other, Elizabeth. Across the wall on the other side, and across the aisle, is Nancy. I like all three folks just fine.

40. What famous person would you like to have dinner with?

Hmmmm... dinner? A chef. maybe Chef Ramsey? It would be interesting to see what I could learn from him during a meal. Or Poppy Z. Brite (with Chris cooking?) If you're going to eat, you should focus on the meal. If it was just to get together and talk, I'd pick someone else entirely.

41. Indoors or outdoors?

Definitely out.

42. Have you ever crashed your vehicle?

I slid off the road on an icy mountainside and gummed up one of the wheels.

43. Have you ever had to use a fire extinguisher for its intended purpose?

In a way. As a fire marshall at work, I've been through the training with a simulator.

44. Last book you read?

In entirety? I have no clue. Been too long. Mostly bits and pieces of permaculture and stonework books lately.

45. Do you have a teddy bear?

3. They tend to grow up, though, and the first is now around my height. The third, though, is still small enough that I can pick him up and squeeze him.

46. Strangest place you have ever brushed your teeth?

An Air Force base? An Army base? Still, brushed them in the bathroom, so it wasn't exactly a strange activity for that location.

47. Somewhere in California you've never been and would like to go?

Northern coast.

48. Do you go to church?

No.

49. At this point in your life, would you rather start a new career or a new relationship?

I'm good.

50. How old are you?

38

I don't usually eat meat for lunch. Dinner, yes, lunch no.

I really wish I could turn things around a bit: eat bigger meals earlier, and a smaller, lighter meal for dinner. Allegedly helps the digestive system by giving you more time to digest before lying down for the night.

I find if I eat a big breakfast, I manage to eat more through the rest of the day as well.

Lunch still winds up a bigger meal for me.
