I could just squeeze him!! He's so funny. Seriously I love the posts about him (and I think it's so cute that you call him Mr. B). Every time I read something about him running amok, I take notes for when Lucas is that age.

And I was reading your posts about your back...have you ever considered doing yoga? I know your time is limited, but you might want to consider it. You don't have to go to a studio, you can always get a dvd (::gets off her yoga soapbox::) =)

Yeah, I stayed off HBP meds the first time around thanks to yoga (and a gym membership, and martial arts training daily) - I miss it.

Went to a chiropractor when I first moved down here and he had me stop all outside workouts, and the flexibility was never the same again. As soon as I can, I'd like to pick up on it again. A lot of the workout program that I have is based on yoga (and pilates, and other stuff).

Believe me, you ought to start a program of simple exercises to strengthen back, legs and abdomen BEFORE you begin landscaping. Seriously. Just start slowly. Which you really know all this, now you just have to do it. I know, easier said than done. 15m. a day will work if you do it daily. Please do. Perhaps your "ouper hero" will assist!

It won't happen until after further on down the line.

Currently, I have to get up at 5:30am, and I'm pressed for time. The CPAP has helped with the sleep, but I can't cut into time any further.

You don't have to do it all at one time -- nor in the morning. Some can be done at your desk-- tightening and releasing muscles of abdomen and upper legs work well that way. Watching posture: keeping spine aligned -- any where, any time. I realize I am not the best example -- I could be, if I actually practiced what I preached....hmmm, hmmmm: I challenge you. Let's both do it. It's easier if there's someone to work off of, easier to stay focused. I'm starting as I type.

Oh, that sort of stuff I do. No, I do need exercise, but I need a more intensive program. The evenings cause a problem because the only two workout rooms are 1) the family room and 2) outside.

Option #1 is out any time Mr. B or Deb is awake - one climbs on you and distracts you from counting, the other has the television on and can't see with you in the middle. Option #2 is somewhat seasonal and reliant upon the weather conditions.

We've an eye towards making the cellar usable for such things - Deb's still not confident in the air quality, and there are a lot of other critical projects ahead of it.

library has space if you are not doing calisthenics; back porch, if it's not too cold and.... whatever, it's up to you -- Winter St. had less room than you have and yet, I did stuff when I wanted to -- that's the ticket, I guess. I still have difficulty staying with a program on my own -- 'swhy I'm trying to convince you -- then I'll have someone to prod me! Your Devious Mom

Oh, yeah, certainly, but aerobic exercise is a big part of what I need.

Winter St. was built 100 years ago - I used to do my workout in the living room there. Here, the family room is the only finished room with a solid enough floor - the rest of the house can't handle the running in place and scissor jumps too well, and that sort of thing is critical.

We'd like to get a treadmill for the walking/running bit, but we have no place to put it at the moment. We'll work it out in time.
