1. What is the soundtrack for this LJ?
The Official Soundtrack for this LJ, of course. What else could it be?

2. What's bothering you right now?
The PA State Department.

3. Do you close the door when you are sleeping?
Not that I can recall. I usually close it before getting into bed and falling asleep. And I make sure all doors are closed and locked before heading up to bed. Wouldn't want a bear to wander through.

4. What is in your wallet?
I don't know. I don't think I've used it in five or twenty years, so if there's anything in it, it probably crawled in there under its own power.

5. Wallpaper on your computer's desktop?
Here at work, Rodney Matthew's Fireship. At home, a number of images, cycled through regularly. I think it's currently mostly obscenely expensive sport yachts, even more expensive sailing yachts, and at least one Girl Genius sketch.

6. Background on your cell phone?
Well, I hated cell phones, but when we moved - which included a 45 minute commute on my part - we decided we better get cells in case one of us should be in need of roadside assistance, so we got cell phones. Did you want more background than that?

7. Next time you will kiss someone?
Likely tonight.

8. Where was your default picture taken?
The first floor kitchen of the house I grew up in.

9. Eyes:
Yesterday the cubebabble centered around songs with 'eyes' in the title. Dark Eyes, Eyes of a Stranger, Lying Eyes, and a half-dozen others.

10. Life:
I'm trying to figure out which I've done recently: played the game or ate the cereal. I think it was likely the cereal.

11. House:
Haven't watched the show in a while. I've been trying to avoid television, as there are better ways to spend my time.

12. Doing this weekend?
Catching up on reading, dropping by John Deere's place for a visit, and half-forming sentences.

13. Wearing?
Clothes. Society demands that sort of thing, and frowns on the lack thereof.

14. Who was the last person to send you a text message?
Probably my eldest son, maybe my brother. Doesn't happen often and I'm happier that way. I'm damn sure not going to try to use a phone keypad to type something back.

15. If you could have one thing right now what would it be?
A very particular piece of paper.

16. Listening to?
Prince.

17. Have you ever kissed anyone named Patty?
Well, all my cousins call patrixa Aunt Patty. That may not be the same kind of kiss that the writer of these questions had in mind, though. There is an off-chance of a quick-kiss-amongst-friends with a Patty or two that I've known since, but I suppose those wouldn't quite count anymore than parental-type kisses.

18. What do you smell like?
I imagine I smell something like a person. This question would have been more interesting the other day, after a lunch at Mama Nina's, which included several rounds of garlic bread, and probably involved ingesting maybe five or six cloves of garlic. And then I had garlic mashed potatoes for supper. Curiously enough, several local vampires decided to go on vacation yesterday.

19. Eating?
Not at the moment. I'm typing. And not really hungry.

20. On your bed, what is your favorite thing?
I'm rather partial to having certain people there, but that's a thing of the past.

21. Do you believe in a soul mate?
If they believe in me and I believe in them, then it would seem the answer is yes. So, no, whether I like it or not.

22. What do you wear to bed?
Less clothes than I wear during the day.

23. Do you remember your dreams?
They've made it into some stories and poems, so the real question in my mind is, do you remember my dreams?

24. Do you burn easily in the sun?
I did when I was on all those meds. I didn't before hand, and I don't now.

25. Have you ever been gambling?
I already answered that I have a 45 minute commute, so yes, every day, thanks to those who got their drivers license from a gumball machine.

26. What's something you wish you could understand better?
No one thing - it would depend on what I needed to know at any given moment.

27. What did you do last weekend?
Important stuff like Nothing Much, observing wildlife, playing with Mr. B, watching my neice do gymnastics, and watching Mr. B demonstrate his gymnastic karate style (he throws a few punches, and then rolls and flops onto the lawn on his back. Don't ask me, he made it up.)

28. Who do you miss?
I haven't tried to aim for anyone lately, so I haven't missed.

29. Who is the last girl you hugged?
My daughter, Rachel.

30. Orange or apple juice?
Well, having to choose between those would be like comparing apples and oranges. I'd have to choose orange juice - I never drink apple juice.

31. Who was the last person you went somewhere with?
I went to lunch with thefrogger

32. What was the last text message?
Not a clue.

33. Have you kissed anyone on your friendslist?
Well, my mom's on the list, but that was covered under the earlier question. nhmetalchick was my first girlfriend, so I kissed her at least once.

34. Last time you ate a home grown tomato?
Someone brought some over last year. The most memorable occurrence was many moons ago, when I went door-to-door for a certain environmental organization. This guy in Swampscott had a front yard that stood out from all of the close cropped neighboring yards - it was all a tangle of weeds. Gave me a really hard time - you could tell he was ex-military, and he played that up. Then I passed his test. He was a landscaper, did only organics and natural materials. Took me out back to show me his garden, the compost collected from his customers lawn clippings - not a drop of chemicals used. It was beautiful back there. All the insect pests that bugged his neighbors despite their ChemLawn treatments skipped over his yard entirely. He gave me three bags of large tomatoes, and when I got back to the office that night I handed most of them out, taking only a small portion for myself. Of course, each one of those tomatoes weighed more than a pound...

36. What was the last thing you drank?
Diet Coke.

37. Who's house did you go to last night?
"Who is house did you go to last night?" And, lo, I mock the person who wrote this quiz.

38. Who was the last person you visited in the hospital?
My father, in January 2006. I've seen him a few times since, but, in relation to that earlier question on remembering dreams. One of those dreams, coincidentally, involved an entirely different hospital.

39. Do you like someone right now?
There's very few people I don't like, and, to be fair, I've never met most of them in person.

40. What do you wear more, slacks, jeans, or sweatpants?
I suppose my Monday-Thursday workwear count as slacks. I wear jeans the rest of the time, except for when I don't. I don't own any sweatpants.

41. What is the last movie you watched? With who?
In the theater, the last I watched was the third Pie Rats of the Carob Bean flick with Justin and his friend Josh. At home, I watched Rock n' Rule with Justin and Mr. B.

42. Name 3 drinks you regularly drink:
Arizona Stress tea, Diet Coke, 4C green ice tea

43. What are you excited about?
Getting a certain particular piece of paper and getting on with things.

44. Do you want someone you can't have?
I don't believe in owning another human being.

45. Who was last to slap your butt?
Probably Mr. B. Like the toddler who wrote these questions, he derives great entertainment value from such things.

46. Where was the last place you went?
Quiznos.

47. What's on your mind right now?
Lots of things that are hovering in circles, waiting for that piece of paper that gives them clearance to land.

48. Have you cried recently?
A grasshopper flew in my eye the other day, and I suppose that caused a tear or two.

49. When you think of your crush, who is it?
I don't tend to like orange sodas - see #42 above.

50. Is taking a shower a daily habit?
Yes.
