Second time I've posted those six pics to *my* journal - first time, they were supposed to be in
naturesbeauty. That mistake only lasted a few seconds, and I deleted the post in my journal. The second time, aiming at
scenic_scapes (which would explain the "By Request" portion of the title...) I didn't realize it, even when
bookgirlwa replied, I thought to myself "Oh, cool, she's in that community as well..."
And then when my mom posted I thought it odd, and then got to wondering...
Oy.
I won't delete the pics this time, as there are comments, but I figured I had to expose the depths of the goof to all... =P

In other news, related only in the similar if even more colossal nature of the mistake, Ernesto took the life of the table on our deck. Yesterday morning, I looked out my window and thought to meself: "Meself, that umbrelly should be taken down, lest it blow away in yon approaching non-hurricane."
I promptly forgot to mention it to Justin or Deb, forgot to do anything about it myself; and, of course, really good problems are the results of compound mistakes, idiocies, and other such creatures, so naturally, Deb didn't even think about taking the stuff down. She is kicking herself for that.
The umbrella, still open, was yanked out and tossed into the yard next to the deck. I've since folded it and stowed it so it doesn't fly around into the corner and take out any cars or cause other trouble.
Rachel is also paying a price for leaving things on it - several things of hers had been left outside on the table, and are now ruined. She'd been asked to bring them in a couple of times, and I'd also asked Justin to take some things in while we were outside a few days ago - so both kids were reminded why it's a good idea to do something when we first tell them, and not just say "Yes, I'll do it" and then ignore it. They tend to fall to the same problem I have when I looked out the window and thought the umbrella should be taken down - distractions brushed away all memories of the task.

Date: 2006-09-02 08:24 pm (UTC)It is getting wicked windy here. The street is getting covered with green leaves tumbling this way and that as they end up at the hill bottom ready to block the sewer when the rain gets here!
Brendan upstairs agrees with you about Safari and Firefox. He'd agree with me about the pictures, tho, if I asked him -- you know: KIDS!

Date: 2006-09-02 08:40 pm (UTC)Mr. B posed for a couple of shots at Rachel's soccer practice - had most of the parents rolling on the ground laughing because it was quite obvious he was smiling and posing, after I teased him about smiling *after* I took the first pic.

Just join up, watch for a while, and post what you think fits! =)
