Today's tune ~ meant to be the third of the set, but record company execs and lawyers don't want you to hear David Bowie's performance of it ~ is covered by the English band Anathema. The band got their start as a death/doom metal band ~ actually, they are one of the three bands that is considered to have created that subgenre. After their original lead vocalist left the band, they headed into more of an atmospheric rock direction, with loads and loads of Floydian influence. Although they don't have it on album, they've been performing Floyd's Comfortably Numb, from The Wall, as part of their live show for some time.

Here they are in a performance from 2007:

Well, actually, it was the Netgear Craptacular Wireless Router.

We resolved a portion of the problem with an M-60 sized hammer drill with a tamping bit and, for final polish, a 20 lb hammer.

The stress-portion of trying to raise a dead router has been resolved.

New router tomorrow.

I peeked at Amazon, and for that particular model (WNR854T) there were 101 1-star reviews out of 160 total.

Yeah, this happens a lot.

Pictures were taken, but they'll post another day...
