Completely unrelated, but what the hey, here they are:

Sunday, after 9pm: Might not want to do much, but might want to grab a quick bite to eat, as I'm not sure how in-depth the menu will be at the "reception" (as it's not a "dinner"). Almost anything would be more affordable than falling back on room service for a meal. =)

Monday, supper after 6pm: Might have clients with me, so Top Sekrit mentions of Top Sekrit things would not be good. I'm thinking this night might be good to hike over to Monk's Cafe per [livejournal.com profile] bood_of_winter's suggestion - looks to be about a two mile walk or so from the Sheraton?

Tuesday, after 9:30pm: Less of a chance of wanting something to eat this night, as dinner will be at the Adventure Aquarium, which we're taking over for three hours. Could get together for a short time, though.

So, what say you PhillyPholks?

Anywho, as for the pungi, it is now unplugged; the corks in the drone have been removed. I've improved on it a bit, able to get both reeds going and sounding almost nice at least some of the time. I'm starting to get a little bit of a flow going, which means playing an actual melody might not be too far off. I still haven't picked up the circular breathing trick, so that's limiting me. Justin and I were trying to figure out Saltarello (as performed by Dead Can Dance). We think it's pretty likely that it was played on a pungi, although it seems like the drone (which could be keyboards or something else) seems to play more than the two notes my drone is capable of.
