May. 29th, 2007 01:59 pmI am not talking about the ever-so slightly spoilery review of the Thoid Pie Rats flick or the musicaltastic mention of the Musical Day Cookout, although those two were entertaining enough and happened over the past weekend.
No, I'm talking about the Mixed Berry Chewy Trail Mix bar by Nature Valley, and the ingredients thereof! "Raspberry, Strawberry, & Blueberry Naturally Flavored" indeed! Why, those natural blueberry flavored fruit pieces list blueberry juice concentrate among the ingredients, although the fruit base (which is secondary to sugar) is dried cranberries. Even more entertaining, the natural raspberry and strawberry flavored fruit pieces are composed of nothing less than sugar, dried cranberries, citric acid, natural flavor, elderberry juice concentrate, and sunflower oil!
I suppose it would be expected that there is not a single raspberry, strawberry, or blueberry jammed into the bar.
Oh well. That's what my yard is for.
Wild strawberries are in bloom, blueberries look to be edible in a few weeks, and the raspberry (or blackberry?) canes are flowering.
