Since I haven't been writing anything, I brought the acoustic to the Poetry Night at Moravian Bookshop.

We met in the greenhouse, which was partially "walled" off from the walkway with some cloth hanging in the openings. They're getting ready for Henry Winkler to come in and do a signing tomorrow.

I played Ursa Major a few times - very quietly - to warm up, mostly before anyone arrived. Once we got things going, I opened the night with my new, as-yet-unnamed song (although it will have something to do with Rack, Shack, and Benny). A little later, I played my tune Talent Lost - dedicated to the memory of Jimmy and Omar, two bass players who had drowned about a year apart. I goofed off a bit with A Rose in Winter Fields and played the vocal melody for As the World Falls Down from Labyrinth.

This was actually Jayne's last official appearance at Poetry Night - as of last Monday, she no longer works there. Hopefully, she'll continue to show up as a regular! =)
