The Plague Runneth Over
Jan. 25th, 2007 09:54 amMost symptoms are settling down - cough comes less frequently and more productive, headache and fever aren't so much - while others are still there. Lungs do a nice rattle or other sounds. Last night I kept hearing this noise like a squeak-toy from the other room. Turns out that it happened when I was breathing in or out. Very low energy levels - that's still continuing in force, but was really bad yesterday.
I used the computer in the AM to send a message into work and that's it - made a quick half-assed effort to check e-mail and so forth but I gave up half way through. I read everything, but didn't respond to anything yesterday.
Monday and Tuesday I was able to make good progress on Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell: A Novel
but Wednesday I picked it up several times and the same thing happened each time. I looked at the words - I think they were supposed to form a paragraph, but they did no such thing - and then I put the book down.
In fact, yesterday I did absolutely nothing except sleep. I did have 4 oyster crackers, 4 saltines, 1 slice of toast, and a golden delicious apple over the course of the day, but with the exception of the apple, the others were all to prevent stomach complaints not because I actually wanted to eat.
Yesterday, Justin also showed early signs of having caught the plague, and today he is wiped out.
Today I actually feel like eating. Couldn't taste breakfast all that much, but I actually looked forward to it. I can also write this, which hopefully makes more sense than any post I didn't write yesterday would have. =)
