Okay, it's not really of great import, just some general updatia.

Pieces of Me
Haven't written another episode, but I expect I'll have one some time tomorrow, after the brief holiday hiatus. The Name Game is still open - two letters were guessed, but no further!

Turkey Day
Had a good meal on Turkey Day - drove up to my parents, and my brother came down from Cow Hickshire. An old friend (yes, even older than [livejournal.com profile] nhmetalchick =P ) was up from the Deep South visiting her folks, and she and her mom stopped by for a visit that night.

Green Friday
Well, grayish brown, really, as leaves had fallen and most green stuff wasn't, but it wasn't black, that's for sure. Took a bunch of photos at Waverly Oaks/Beaver Brook - Rachel and Justin each found some nice ice formations in the stream, so we'll see how they come out. Later, following a lunch of Brother Pizza (extra cheese, of course), I went to Mount Auburn Cemetery and finished off another roll of film. Took mostly shots of the trees, although a few monuments did manage to scamper or climb into the view finder. It remains to be seen how they actually come out - most of them rely on lighting aeffects that may or may not have been obliterated by the flash.

Saturday
Took the scenic route home Saturday. Just outside 128, snow stuck - even saw them clearing a parking lot with a front end loader and dump trucks. We stopped at the Grist Mill in Sudbury, but didn't take any pictures. Will have to get back there, as the kids weren't even sure they had been there before, let alone realize that the picture hanging on our hall is 1) a real place, 2) in Massachusetts, 3) a photo taken by me, and 4) a place that Deb and I stopped by on our first date.

Today
Planted out the trees from Arbor Day - I expect they arrived on Friday; the roots and gel mix was frozen solid, so I don't have much hope for their survival.

Justin and I went to see 'arry today - he felt this was the best movie so far (#3 was his least favorite.) I liked it well enough. Theater was pretty empty. Deb was worried that we'd have to buy tickets several hours in advance, but we walked in, bought tickets, and sat down as the last of the ads was running.

Changed the house water filter today, paid the bills, and even wrote this.

And my voice is all wonky, coughing is up, throat pain is down. Nose is much less stuffy. Through it all, though, I only lost a wee bit o' taste (on Wednesday and Thursday, of course...)
