Oct. 29th, 2005 06:23 pmGot a lot of work done outside today.
With Justin out of commission and (forced against his will) resting, Rachel helped out. We took two divisions off of each the two hostas in front of the porch and planted them down along the lawn edge of Stone stream. We moved the selfheal that was near Stone stream and moved it down to the flood plain. We relocated two volunteering sweet birch and one gray birch from the foundation. One of the sweet birches went down along the bank island and end of the stream; the other two trees were replanted on alternating sides of the stream as it goes through Chestnut Grove. We put down four bags of mulch along the foundation in the back, nearly finishing that part off. Before Rachel came out to help, I mulched the heaths and heathers down in the meadow.
