(no subject)

Back in the hot water business - despite delays while we left messages for a highly recommended plumber (and still have not received any callbacks), when we finally called Steve at Blue Mountain Plumbing & Heating, he got in and got the job done the next day. We'll be calling him back to test the water and install (at least) some sediment filters. The tank was supposed to weigh about 50 pounds empty, and with all the sediment that built up in only 2 years, it weighed about twice that. We had actually planned filter installation for this month, but at least now we know a plumber who can do the job.

We will be having a cookout on July 23rd - friends who are - or will be - in Eastern PA can contact me via e-mail (user-name-of-this-journal at gmail.com) for directions. It's going to be "run what ya brung" - we'll have hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, and Boca burgers; if you want something else grilled up, feel free to bring it along. General guidelines are to bring along enough to feed whoever you're bringing - especially as I have no idea yet how many people will be coming!
