hide away

hide away

coils winding
serpentine encroaching
claws sinking
deep beneath the skin
and i turn the other way
look away, so far away
and it goes away
aurora flaring
cyclopean shimmering
glimmers blinding
flash imprinting unseen
and i listen for something else to say
wandering astray, so far away
and it goes away
tremors pounding
cacophony resounding
pain pulsating
screaming to be heard
and i reach for something tangible
a touch away, so far away
and it goes away
coils winding
serpentine encroaching
circular sinking
spirals held within my mind
only to repeat in the same way
run away, so far away
if only it would go away
