From one blog to another, we spin our webs...

Rohit Gupta, a writer from Bombay, has an interesting way to promote his novel: allow others to own portions of his text. For my portion, I selected the following trio of sentences:

The entire world seems to have dissolved into one seashell with a pattern on it, a mysterious whorl. In a strange, desolate room overlooking Dolphin’s Rock, a lighthouse, and the bay of Bombay, a spider gently spins. It builds it’s house on it’s own spit.

Cheers to Rohit!

I've been frequenting the Arbor Day forum for the short time it's been available to the public - there are a number of quite knowledgable folks that frequent the boards there, and answer questions related to growing and caring for trees.

And, of course, there's also folks like me, who are merely enthusiasts! =)

whisper it away
by Everett A Warren

November 5, 2004

a storm
not long enough
on the horizon
all too soon whirling
thundering
through my soul
until i whisper it away

waves
pounding upon
mountains
to rocks
to pebbles
to sand
until i whisper it away

breath
stilled
or torn rasping
waiting
in silence
until i'm whispered away
