The results of a very scientific poll I conducted on my drive into work this morning point towards an easy win by Kerry in todays election. In a survey of about 45 minutes duration, I tallied signs favoring one candidate or the other, including such homemade signs as "Union Families for Bush" and what looked more like a GWB memorial than a sign. Only one sign - as seen across the highway - was uncounted, as it was a homemade one that read "Bush" but looked like it might have been a "Bush must go" sign.

The results:
Kerry - 47
Bush - 22

Now we just need to see what happens today (and over the next four weeks if results go south in Florida again!)

While discussing foreign languages with a co-worker, the conversation shifted to the Spanish instructional DVD we use for homeschooling my children - couldn't think of the name, so it became something we looked up, thus: Standard Deviants.

Anywho, while surfing a variety of their products I don't have - and enjoying their lists of 10 related items, the quotes and so forth - we came across this great quote from their "Quote of the Week" for a geography page:

"As a young man, my fondest dream was to become a geographer. However, while working at the customs office, I thought deeply about the matter and concluded it was far too difficult a subject. I then turned to Physics as a substitute." - Albert Einstein
