Balancing Act

Breath like mists upon the air,
swirling on the singing breeze
as the water runs like dreams,
dancing with abandon,
churning rock to stone.

Promise waits in Spring buds,
painting a haze in the crowns of trees
as shimmering as emeralds,
more precious than gold,
brimming with life itself.

Still the rain seems to fall,
balancing between seasons
as if it was unsure of its destiny,
flowing with cool clear waters,
floating gently in Winter’s white.
