Oct. 27th, 2006 10:40 amVII. Giant's Fall
| Dwarven-deep, caverns | old, mines of ice, hearts |
| bold; Stagmuir Ice-Carver, | war-blade with axes twain |
| taken from dark caves | to peaks of snow, the |
| frost-giant holt of | Jotunheim Giants-Land; |
| Mighty dwarf warrior | raises the ire and wrath |
| wicked frost-cousin | with tree-spines in hand; |
| The mighty Sons of | the Mountains, frost-giant |
| kin Bjorn and Tung Kniv | stand-fast against evil |
| rally to Dwarf-Lord | who shimmers and steps |
| out of Jotunheim | to Midgard's fair plain; |
| Thor, Thor, the voices cry; | Thor, in hall on high; |
| Light-bolts greet the dwarf | who roars warning with |
| Thor-welcome, for upon | his heels white-wolf cur |
| comes; bold Skald runs forth | with flames of Ilduvær |
| to greet giant-lapdog | who runs before master; |
| Hjolvar Hled-Heart spreads | wings to arctic winds, |
| soars towards the fight with | new-found might as evil |
| footfall resounds in | the valley, frost-giant |
| bursts from Jotunheim, | treads the ways of man; |
| roars at the heroes | who slay his hearth-mate. |
| Boulders, rock-rain from | the hands of the giant |
| threaten the warriors | who block Evil's way; |
| Mighty Bjorn, bravest | of brothers, shakes with |
| wrath as giant-kin roars; | Rage-full Axe-Biter gnaws |
| at steel, swings mighty | axe, frothing for blood; |
| Stamping the snow like | Sleipnir Eight-Hooves girded |
| for war, charging at | frozen-heart foul foe; |
| Mighty Shield-Biter | tastes kin-giant blood, |
| cutting deep massive | cold flesh; Sore-pressed |
| brother Bjorn, Son of | the Mountains, crushed |
| by the pounding of | trees ripped from Earth; |
| Shrugging the World that | is weighting atop him, |
| Bjorn Axe-Frother strikes | true once more, his steel |
| feasting upon the | trampler of sweet life; |
| Thor, Thor, the voices cry; | Thor, in hall on high; |
| Bjorn Oppison lifts head | high to meet his demise. |
