Today's tune is When The Sinner from 1993's Chameleon.

As with it's predecessor, this album found Helloween being labeled as "not metal enough" by many (former) fans. In this case, it is a little more valid an accusation.

This tune isn't a lightweight, but it is a significant departure from earlier material.

After this album vocalist Michael Kiske left the band and earned the enmity of even more fans by 1) leaving; and 2) playing "country" or, worse "pop"

The core of the matter is that Michael has a great voice no matter what he sings ~ and eventually we will get to some of his solo material.

For now, we get this ~ and be sure to stick around for the outro solo:

I might have posted this one way back, but it's still funny... here's Bill Bailey with a Kraftwerk spoof on a tune that's very familiar... even if you don't speak German... =)

For [personal profile] hughcasey and [personal profile] elionwyr...

I posted these a while back (I think) and someone else probably did or I probably wouldn't have found them... anwho...

Here's Kutiman, with his piece assembled from an assortment of different videos he found on YouTube. In other words, every different scene and performer in this video was playing a different song, on their own, without any thought to collaboration until Kutiman assembled them.

This is Mother of All Funk Chords, and it's the first track off Thru You:
