Some follow up...
May. 8th, 2006 12:33 pmBrother's Pizza, in Belmont, MA still makes the best pizza in the known universe. Justin and I verified this Saturday night, after picking up some meltdown-level hot wings for Deb at Wings Express and dropping by for a visit with Steve at The Outer Limits (both on Moody Street, Waltham.)
If I had one more meal, I would have grabbed some ribs at Wings Express, but Brother's in one thing I can't miss out on.
The lock (mentioned in the previous post) did not win in its struggle for remaining eternally locked. On Sunday, once awake enough to have a clue, I tilted it right (which failed) and left (which worked,) and was thus able to prove myself smarter than the average hunk of metal with a locking mechanism.
The trip back was fairly uneventful, although it stretched out for about two more hours and 70 miles further than it should have. I'm almost positive that the truck weighed less (much less) than the limit described on the sign on the bridge, but I wasn't in the mood to discover otherwise, so I took the long way around, and will pay the price for that. Then again, if I drove the truck into a creek/river/ditch/whatever, they'd probably send me the bill for the truck and the bridge (and, maybe, the river) and I'm almost positive that would be more expensive than the extra mileage fee.
We were able to get the truck unloaded easily, but getting everything where it belongs will take more work - the couch, in particular, is currently still on its side and displacing our dining table.
