We went on a quest today.

To start things off, we went through downtown Jim Thorpe, formerly known as Mauch Chunk, and stopped in at Through the Looking Glass Cyber Cafe to make sure we were fuled up for the coming adventure.

Brandon thoroughly enjoyed portions of his grilled cheese sandwich and a good bit of Rachel's PBJ, both on homemade bread. Rachel, for her part, ate more than half of her PBJ and a quarter to a half of Brandon's grilled cheese (which she preferred), in addition to half of one of the slices of cheese quesadilla. The quesadillas were exceptional, and their salsa was pretty durn good by both my standards and Deb's much more heat-seeking tastes. Justin had an Italian Chicken sandwich, also on the homemade bread (which we couldn't quite identify - some caraway seeds in there, certainly, but it didn't seem like a rye; in any case, it was delicious.) Deb had a Veggie Focaccia, and I had Ellen's Delicious Focaccia. Deb wasn't overly impressed with her sandwich, and will probably fly solo on her own quesadilla on our next visit. While that is tempting, I will go for another Delicious, because, well, it was. Not sure what was on Deb's, but mine had sauteed chicken, sauteed onions, sweet peppers, portabella mushrooms, and other Good Stuff.

After eating, we cruised up to Hazleton, otherwise known as The City Pronounced Like Hazelton But Spelled Wrong So I Pronounce It As Hazz-Lay-Ton, for the purposes of completing our quest: look for a car for Deb at the Subaru dealership.

Of course, the quest must remain somewhat incomplete: apparently car dealerships aren't open on Sundays. I have determined that this might be done purposefully, to allow people to walk around and look at the cars without being harassed by salesmen, as we were far from the only group of folks walking around.

We discovered we both had a few favorites - although without sitting in any of the cars let alone taking them for test drives, or even looking under the hood or anything like that, these are very much subject to change. I rather liked the Legacy Limited Edition; although when we go for my car it will probably have to be a truck, and also won't be for a few years, so my looking was only for fun. Deb was looking at the Impreza Sport Wagon and the Forester - although she had gone in there with the Outback Wagon in mind. We'll see what happens when we can get back there.
